The new Series 7 Slate is designed for on-the-go- users who need a slim and lightweight PC running full version of Windows OS. The Series 7 is powered by Intel’s Core i5-2467M processor with 4GB of RAM and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics.
Sony’s Tablet S is now available for pre-order with a promised September 16th ship date. That now includes Amazon in addition to Sony’s own site, as well as Best Buy and Future Shop in Canada which are each listing a slightly later September 23rd availability date for the country (but the same $499 and $599 price tags).

While the Windows 7-powered Tablet P1 will come later this year, Lenovo will launch its IdeaPad Tablet K1 first, which is the first Android tablet certified to deliver Netflix video streaming. Powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 T20 1.GHz dual-core processor, the K1 runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS with Lenovo’s custom UI and support for Adobe Flash Player 10.3. It comes preloaded with more than 40 apps from partners like Netflix, Amazon, Adobe, Electronic Arts, Rovio, Zinio, Dataviz, and others, including favorites like Need for Speed Shift, Angry Birds, Kindle reading app and Documents to Go.
Book retailer Borders also has its own ebook reader in the form of the Kobo eReader to compete with Amazon’s Kindle. And recently, it has just announced that it is coming up with the new version of the said ebook reader called the Kobo eReader Touch Edition. By its name alone, you might perceive that it features a touchscreen display.
Gigabyte showcased its GN-TB100 10.1-inch tablet powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor at the CeBit 2011. The device comes with a 10.1-inch 1280×800 IPS touchscreen as well as a 5 Megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera for video chat.
